It was a busy Tuesday night in college basketball, here's a quick update.
Louisville's Reyne Smith made a school-record ten threes to lead the Cardinals over SMU, 98-73. Louisville has won nine games in a row, and is up to 23rd in KenPom, just four spots behind rival Kentucky. The morning after the Cards lost to the Cats in December, Kentucky ranked 11th, and Louisville ranked 58th.
UAB won its fifth game in a row - 81-78 over UTSA - to move a half-game ahead of the pack in the American Conference. The Blazers were 7-7 after a loss to North Texas to open conference play, but have not lost since. UAB travels to the FedEx Forum on Sunday.
Akron and Miami OH each won last night - moving to 6-0 in the MAC. The Redhawks and Zips meet in Akron on Saturday. Miami OH hasn't won 20 games in the 21st century, but it is 14-4 in Travis Steele's third year.
West Virginia couldn't back up its big win against Iowa State, losing at home to a shorthanded Arizona State team.
Ohio State went to Mackey Arena and ended Purdue's seven-game winning streak, dropping them to 7-2 in the Big Ten.
